Fundraising Priorities

WHEN DONATING TO THE OSU COLLEGE OF SOCIAL WORK, YOUR GIFT HELPS US SUPPORT A NUMBER OF INITIATIVES.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship support is critical in our college. Our students study social work because of the positive impact they want to make in other peoples’ lives, not because of attractive salaries. Your support will lessen the financial burden these students carry, allowing them serve our communities’ most vulnerable people.

EMERGING PRIORITIES

The Ohio State Fund for the College of Social Work supports priorities of the College, including technology augmentation and emerging programs such as gerontological social work. This fund also makes it possible for Dean Gregoire to address the college’s needs as they arise, for instance, seed money to a faculty member exploring an evolving idea.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Addressing the issue of human trafficking in our community as well as globally has come to the forefront in the college. Faculty research support, curriculum development and student scholarship support will combine to bring awareness and change to this complex issue.

FIELD EDUCATION

Field education is essential to the social work learning experience. The college is working toward sustainable systems with partnering agencies. To this end, we seek funding to provide stipend support to students as well as financial incentives to our agency partners.
