Kaiser was recently honored with The Ohio State University’s highest teaching award, the 2016 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. She was chosen out of more than 3,000 Ohio State faculty.
Congratulations to BSSW student and veteran Colin Winter who has been recognized as an “Everyday Hero” by NBC News! WCMH-TV’s Everyday Hero feature honors men and women who are doing extraordinary work serving our community. Colin was selected for his exceptional work with veterans.
Colin serves as the College of Social Work’s Student Veteran Advocate. He is also the co-founder of the non-profit organization, Run Down the Demons, which aspires to promote a stigma-free atmosphere where all veterans who need help feel comfortable asking for it and to provide a network of resources to meet that need.
