Congratulations to Dr. René Olate, who was one of the collaborators for the State of the World’s Volunteerism Report 2011. The United Nations report is available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Dr. Olate wrote one of the seven regional background papers (Latin America) for the report (acknowledged on page VI) and was also acknowledged on page XII as one of the participants and presenters of the Latin America Regional Consultation Meeting Held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"Engaging in a worldwide project such as collaborating for the first State of the World’s Volunteerism Report was an enriching and inspiring professional experience," says Olate. "In the Latin American meeting, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I had the opportunity to meet regional experts and discuss the contributions and challenges of volunteerism. Volunteerism is a type of capital that we can recreate and transform for good in our daily life."
